The Art of the Tin Toy by David Pressland is an authoritative historical reference for tin toys, which had their beginnings in the Industrial Revolution, and often depicted vehicles of the era. Included here are images and information related to American, French, German, English, and Japanese manufacturers, including trademarks useful in identification. The book is meant to be the companion volume to Allen Levy's "A Century of Model Trains," this author has deliberately omitted the great majority of toy trains.
