Ki Ki's Paris - Billy Kluver and Julie Martin
Ki Ki's Paris by Billy Kluver and Julie Martin profiles the world of Montparnasse during the first three decades of the twentieth century, sketching portraits of the many artists, writers, and thinkers that gravitated to it and to the enigmatic singer, model, and artist known as Kiki. The authors have chosen from thousands of photographs of the time and interviewed artists and models who were in Montparnasse in the 1920s. Many of the photographs in the book are by well-known artists, among them Man Ray, Berenice Abbott, Andre Kertesz, and Jean Cocteau; others have never been published before or have not been seen since the twenties.
