Anish Kapoor is the creator of popular public sculptures and the recipient of numerous international awards, including the Turner Prize (1991). He emerged in London in the early 1980s and has created a remarkable body of work that, employing intense colours and refined surfaces and working with contrasts between form and void, and light and dark.
