Heath Robinson - John Lewis

Heath Robinson: Artist and Comic Genius by John Lewis s a book about a man who became so famous that his name has become a part of the English language. His fame as a great comic artist came from his ridiculing of the machine, yet this side of his work was only a part and perhaps a lesser part of this remarkable artist. Heath Robinson's serious book illustration is less well known than his comic drawings but he is probably the most important artist in pen drawing since Aubrey Beardsley.

Illustrated with 119 line drawings, 33 half-tone drawings and 4 plates in colour.
